The Skydiver Who Didn't Take A ParachuteA 29-year old man has leaped out of a plane at 10,000 feet with a camera - but he forgot his parachute.
Emergency services in New York state received a 911 call from the Duanesburg Skydiving Club.
According to the caller, a passenger on a plane had jumped without a parachute.
Sloan Carafello, from Schenectady, was only supposed to be observing the jumps from the plane.
But witnesses have said he followed an instructor, student and videographer straight out the plane door.
Police have said the man was not wearing any skydiving gear at all.
His body was found next to a house with a damaged roof in Duanesburg, near the state capital Albany.
Pilot and club-owner, Robert Rawlins, told the Albany Times Union he was flying the single-engine plane at about 10,000 feet with the jumpers.
Mr Rawlins said three parachuters stepped out and as he began to close the plane's door, the man leaped out holding a camera.
Police do not suspect foul play.
